Testimonials
I wanted to learn how to create clouds in acrylic paints to impove my landscapes. I was very happy with what I did, I came away with half a canvas done in just 3 hours ! She is really welcoming, (so is Rocky, her dog ! ) I learnt a lot in my 'one to one session' and look forward in putting my new skills into practice in my future paintings and to finish my session picture in the near future, on my own. She is extremely informative and patient, a great teacher!
I enjoyed it so much I didn't even stop for lunch, the time just flew by, it was SO engrossing. I would gladly go back to her to do portraiture or learn feathering techniques which would be fun.

Kathryn Rennie has been my Art tutor for life drawing and portraits over the past year. Having had experience as a member of the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate, it is particularly noteworthy that Kate is not only a wonderful artist but also an exceptional teacher who employs first class teaching techniques. She has developed an enthusiasm within the group as she encourages individuals to maximise their potential. She does this through demonstrating techniques with great clarity and skill, offering support in a positive manner which gives confidence to the individual. Kathryn’s approach is friendly and supportive, and the members of the class think highly of her. A great artist and a great teacher!

Thanks for the tea and the spiritual connection over art in books, Kathryn.
I have been looking for an art teacher and in you I have found one. I nearly gave up and then you forced me to reflect critically on what I had done, taught me colour theory and mixed purple in a demonstration...
Thank you for the warmth of your welcome.
